  3. 'Malcolm in the Middle: Life Remains Unfair' Teaser Confirms 2026 Release

The beloved series Malcolm in the Middle is making a comeback on Hulu and Hulu via Disney+ in 2026. Disney has released the first teaser for the four-episode limited series, officially titled Malcolm in the Middle: Lifes Still Unfair. While the teaser confirms the series will premiere next year, an exact release date has not yet been announced.

The preview includes a nod to the classic moment where Lois (Jane Kaczmarek) shaves Hals (Bryan Cranston) back in the family kitchen, evoking nostalgia for fans of the original show.

Almost the entire original cast will return, including Kaczmarek, Cranston, Frankie Muniz, Chris Kennedy Masterson, Justin Berfield, and Emy Coligado. Caleb Ellsworth-Clark takes on the role of Dewey, while new cast members include Keeley Karsten, Vaughan Murrae, and Kiana Madeira.

The revival was first officially confirmed in December 2024. The storyline follows Malcolm as he has spent more than a decade shielding himself and his daughter (Karsten) from his family, only to be pulled back into their lives when Hal and Lois invite him to their 40th anniversary celebration.

Original creator Linwood Boomer returns as writer and executive producer. The series executive producers include Bryan Cranston, Tracy Katsky, Gail Berman, Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan, and Natalie Lehmann. Ken Kwapis will direct all four episodes and serve as executive producer, with Jimmy Simons and Laura Delahaye as co-executive producers.

The show is produced under Disney Branded Television in collaboration with 20th Television.
