Glen Powell Hopes to Cast Taylor Swift in Season 2 of 'Chad Powers'

While Hulu has yet to officially confirm a second season, indications suggest that production could be on the horizon, and lead actor and co-creator Glen Powell already has a notable cameo in mind.

Although filming for season two has not started, the creators have openly shared ideas for potential storylines. Notably, they have expressed interest in a cameo by Taylor Swift. In a recent Variety interview, Powell and co-star Perry Mattfeld discussed Swifts connection to football through her fianc, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, hoping she might tune in to the series. Mattfeld remarked, Im working my way to her. Well make sure she sees the series and shell get it. Im hoping because of Travis, shell watch and then well connect and talk offense.

Powell further suggested Swift could make a cameo in season two, saying, You already got me thinking about Season 2 cameos. T-Swift comin in hot. Co-creator Michael Waldron also expressed support for the idea. Im an O.G. Country music Taylor fan. I was blasting Taylors first album when I was in college, so Im in, Waldron told Decider. My dream is to have Taylor write and record the Chad Powers love theme. You know how a lot of movies used to have that? Thats my dream.

Since beginning her relationship with Kelce, Swift has become a devoted football fan, attending Chiefs games and learning the sport in depth. This growing passion for football makes a cameo in Chad Powers a logical fit. Another potential connection is Kelces own burgeoning entertainment career; the athlete recently appeared in Happy Gilmore 2, and a future collaboration with Swift on the show could be possible.
