'Peaky Blinders' Film Announces Dates for Theatrical & Streaming Release; Netflix Reveals Official Title & Teaser Poster

The eagerly awaited Peaky Blinders movie, officially named Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, is scheduled to hit select cinemas on March 6, 2026. Following its theatrical release, Netflix will launch the film worldwide on its streaming platform starting March 20. Below is a first look at the teaser poster.

Directed by Tom Harper and penned by series creator Steven Knight, the film brings back Oscar-winning actor Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby, reprising his role from the acclaimed BAFTA-winning series that aired from 2013 to 2022. Joining Murphy are Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Sophie Rundle, Barry Keoghan, Stephen Graham, and Jay Lycurgo. Returning cast members from the series include Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, and Ian Peck.

The official logline reads: Birmingham, 1940. As WWII rages on, Tommy Shelby emerges from self-imposed exile to confront his most dangerous challenge yet. With the fate of both his family and the nation hanging in the balance, Tommy faces his inner demons and must decide whether to protect his legacy or destroy it entirely.

The original Peaky Blinders series, created and written by Knight, became a worldwide sensation. It debuted on BBC Two in 2013 and reached Netflix audiences in 2014. The show earned the BAFTA for Best Drama Series during its fourth season and later moved to BBC One for its fifth and sixth seasons. In a recent announcement, Netflix and the BBC confirmed two new six-part sequel series continuing the story, set to begin in 1953, with Murphy and Knight serving as executive producers.

Producers of The Immortal Man include Guy Heeley, Cillian Murphy, Steven Knight, and Patrick Holland. Executive producers are Andrew Warren, Caryn Mandabach, Jamie Glazebrook, Tom Harper, and David Kosse.
