A police officer facing allegations of assaulting a civilian during his duties has been acquitted. PC Denis Kadric of West Yorkshire was found not guilty of inflicting actual bodily harm in an event that took place in Bradford on 26 January.

The 34-year-old officer, who has served as a response officer in Bradford for six years, was formally cleared at York Crown Court on Friday.

Following the verdict, West Yorkshire Police confirmed that PC Kadric will remain suspended while internal gross misconduct procedures are reassessed in light of the court's decision.
