Quentin Tarantino Criticizes Another Star in Best 21st Century Movie Ranking

Acclaimed filmmaker Quentin Tarantino shared some provocative opinions during his appearance on The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast, sparking discussion among movie fans. While he praised certain films, he didnt hold back in expressing his strong dislike for some actors, including Owen Wilson.

Despite his criticism, Tarantino ranked a film starring Wilson, Midnight in Paris, as his 10th favorite movie of the 21st century. He admitted, I really cant stand Owen Wilson. I mean, I just cant stand him, highlighting his personal conflict over the actor.

Tarantino described his changing perspective on Wilsons performance: The first time I watched the movie, I loved it but hated him. By the second viewing, I thought, Alright, dont be so harsh, hes not that bad. By the third viewing, I found myself really watching him.

Wilson and his representatives have not publicly responded to Tarantinos remarks. While his critique of Wilson was notable, it did not overshadow the attention his harsh comments about Paul Dano in There Will Be Blood received online.

In addition to discussing actors, Tarantino offered insights into Woody Allens filmmaking approach. He observed that Allen, the director of Midnight in Paris, produces around one movie a year and tends to expand short stories into feature-length films. Tarantino commented, If he spent a year refining one script through multiple drafts, the results could be extraordinary. But thats not his style. He prefers to write, finish, and move on.
