During a recent episode of The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast, celebrated filmmaker Quentin Tarantino shared some candid opinions about actors, sparking discussions online. Among his remarks, he expressed a clear dislike for Owen Wilson, known for his role in Bottle Rocket.

I really cant stand Owen Wilson, Tarantino stated emphatically, adding that his frustration with the actor was long-standing. Despite this, Tarantino revealed that he holds Wilsons work in Midnight in Paris in high regard, ranking it as his tenth favorite film of the 21st century.

He explained his evolving perspective on Wilsons performance: The first time I watched the movie, I loved it and hated him By the second viewing, I thought, Alright, hes not so bad. On the third watch, I found myself genuinely paying attention to him.

Wilson has yet to publicly respond to Tarantinos comments.

While Tarantinos critique of Wilson was pointed, it was milder compared to his remarks about Paul Dano in There Will Be Blood, which generated significant online attention.

The director also shared insights about Woody Allen, the filmmaker behind Midnight in Paris, noting Allens rapid filmmaking pace. Tarantino remarked, Allen doesnt really write traditional scripts; he expands short stories into feature-length films. If he spent a year refining each project, the outcome might be different, but he prefers to keep creating and moving on to the next work.
