"Sister Wives" Kody Brown Begins Apology Tour by Making Major Admission to Ex-Wife Janelle (Exclusive)

In an exclusive preview from the December 7 episode of Sister Wives, Kody Brown reaches out to ex-wife Janelle Brown to offer a heartfelt apology. The conversation comes after tensions rose following their 2022 separation and the sale of their shared Arizona property.

"I just wanted to come and say that I apologize," Kody tells Janelle, noting he has a list of things he wants to make amends for. He expresses regret for his anger and bitterness during the family breakup, acknowledging that no one deserved to experience that side of him.

Janelle reflects on the end of their marriage, saying she often felt disconnected from Kody. "I kept thinking I dont know who this guy is," she admits. "This is not the guy that I was married to forever."

In a confessional, Janelle explains, "Seeing him speak publicly about these things, I still dont recognize him. There are familiar parts, memories we shared, but he lives a completely different life now."

During their conversation, Janelle shares her sense of loss over the ideal she had envisioned for their marriage and family. "When the family fell apart, I mourned more the loss of the vision we had for raising the kids together," she says. She adds that despite the separation, maintaining strong sibling bonds among their children remains a significant accomplishment.

Janelle also reflects on her own focus during the marriage, admitting, "I think I prioritized the family over our relationship for many years. Maybe I should have concentrated more on us."

Kodys outreach follows years of distance between him and Janelle, who separated from him after 29 years of marriage. She was the second of Kodys wives to leave, after Christine Brown in 2021, with Meri Brown finalizing her separation in 2023.

Their son, Garrison Brown, tragically passed away on March 5, 2024, two years after Kody and Janelles split.

Last week, Kody shared with his current wife, Robyn, why he felt the need to apologize. He explained that after the sale of the Coyote Pass property, encounters with his ex-wives were uncomfortable, prompting him to reflect deeply and seek closure. "I realized I need to apologize and own my role in the breakups, to help them move forward without me in their thoughts," he said.
