Adam Sandler and his wife Jackie attended the 2025 Gotham Awards in New York City, marking a stylish start to the awards season. The couple arrived at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday, Dec. 1, turning heads with their elegant black tie ensembles.
The 59-year-old actor is up for Best Supporting Performance for his role in the Noah Baumbach dramedy Jay Kelly. Sandler wore a classic suit and tie, while Jackie dazzled in a sleek black dress, paired with gold heels and a matching clutch.
Jay Kelly stars George Clooney as a world-famous actor who reconsiders his life choices and follows his daughter, played by Grace Edwards, on a European trip. His sudden decision to travel abroad prompts his dedicated team, including publicist Liz (Laura Dern) and agent Ron (Sandler), to accompany him. Ron struggles to balance loyalty to his client and friendship with family responsibilities.
Sandlers performance has received high praise, earning him a nomination alongside Benicio del Toro (One Battle After Another), Jacob Elordi (Frankenstein), Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas (Sentimental Value), Indya Moore (Father Mother Sister Brother), Wunmi Mosaku (Sinners), Andrew Scott (Blue Moon), and Alexander Skarsgard (Pillion).
In a recent interview with Tudum, Sandler reflected on how relatable the films story was, noting that his daughter Sadie, 19, also appears in the movie as Rons daughter. Adam and Jackie, 51, are also parents to Sunny, 17, who has acted alongside her father. He explained, Just like anybody with a job, if you can find a way to keep your family close and see them as much as possible, you do it. Its the kind of work that takes you away for long stretches. Whenever possible, I bring my family along. You dont want to be apart. Your true focus is your wife and kids.
On the red carpet, when asked by PEOPLE about working with his daughters, Sandler simply said, "Just being with them."
The 2025 Gotham Awards are hosted by The Gotham Film & Media Institute, which aims to celebrate and support independent film and media creators by providing career resources, connections with industry leaders, and opportunities for greater recognition.
