Amy Schumer's at-Home Photo Shoot Interrupted by Her 6-Year-Old Son Gene

Amy Schumer experienced an unexpected interruption during a casual photo session at home when her 6-year-old son, Gene David, playfully joined in. The comedian shared a series of images on Instagram on Saturday, Nov. 29, showcasing herself sitting on a staircase in a bright yellow minidress adorned with bows and ruffles along the hem.

In one of the snapshots, Gene can be seen jumping into the frame above Schumer, creating a lighthearted moment. Captioning the photo, Schumer joked about her sons reluctance to go to bed: Trying to go to the party but someone wont go to bed. In another picture posted shortly after, Gene is seen dashing up the stairs while Schumer continues posing, with his face playfully hidden behind a yellow heart emoji flashing peace signs.

Schumer has previously mentioned that she wouldn't be surprised if Gene developed a comedic streak of his own. In February, she told PEOPLE, He's really funny. I don't know what his story is going to be, but he loves doing stunts and making people laugh.

Regarding his perception of her fame, Schumer shared on Alex Coopers Call Her Daddy podcast in January that Gene remains unfazed by her celebrity status. It's like the same with my son or my husband. It's like, 'You're mom,' she explained.

Beyond spending time with her son and capturing stylish snapshots, Schumer has been open about her health journey following diagnoses of endometriosis and Cushing syndrome. In October, she shared an Instagram post reflecting on her well-being: Im feeling strong and like myself. Im enjoying how I look, but man it is all about how you feel. Im so grateful to be pain free thanks to my trainer Mona at Reload who has helped strengthen me since my back surgery and @seckinmd for lifting all the endometriosis out of my body.

She added, I got all dressed up and ready to go to my friend's 50th and then decided I wasnt feeling up to it and wanted to stay home with my little guy. Thanks for all the love. Sending it right back .
