Cate Blanchett Dons Givenchy Gown for Fashion Awards 2025 Red Carpet

In Londons Royal Albert Hall on Monday evening, Cate Blanchett graced the 2025 Fashion Awards in an elegant Givenchy gown. The Black Bag actress chose a striking black-and-white floor-length dress, keeping her accessories minimal with silver earrings and a subtle black bra visible beneath the ensemble.

The gown originates from Givenchys Spring 2026 runway, marking creative director Sarah Burtons second collection for the house. The collection highlighted a bold approach to femininity, offering a fresh take on classic silhouettes. According to WWDs Miles Socha, Burtons designs introduced a heightened sensuality to the impeccable tailoring and dressmaking of her impressive debut, featuring sheer fabrics, sculpted necklines, short hems, slit skirts, and numerous bra-inspired tops.

Rooney Mara, also present at the event, was seen embracing Blanchett on the blue carpet. Mara wore a pastel pink satin dress from Givenchys October runway, adorned with voluminous fabric details at the back.

This event isnt Blanchetts first collaboration with Givenchy. Earlier in May, she wore a leather ensemble from the brands Fall 2025 collection to the New York premiere of Black Bag. That outfit included a V-neckline, zipper accents, square-toe patent leather boots, a statement ring, and studded earrings.

Blanchett is celebrated for her red carpet fashion and has previously partnered with luxury labels like Louis Vuitton and Giorgio Armani. Expanding her fashion ventures, she was named a global ambassador for Uniqlo in August, contributing to the LifeWear collection which supports humanitarian initiatives worldwide.
