Juliette Binoche, Michael Caine & Sigourney Weaver to be Honored at Red Sea Film Festival

This years Red Sea Film Festival will present honorary awards to celebrated figures in international cinema, including Juliette Binoche, French-Algerian director Rachid Bouchareb (known for Days of Glory), Michael Caine, Hong Kong director Stanley Tong (A Legend), and Sigourney Weaver.

During her visit to Saudi Arabia, Juliette Binoche will also participate in the Kering Women in Motion initiative. The program will host its inaugural panel at the festival, featuring Binoche alongside Saudi filmmaker Shahad Ameen and Palestinian-American actor and filmmaker Cherien Dabis. The discussion will be moderated by Finn Halligan, Red Seas Director of International Programs.

Stanley Tong and Sigourney Weaver are set to take part in the festivals In Conversation With series. Previously announced participants include British-Egyptian actor Amir El Masry (Giant), Tunisian director Kaouther Ben Hania (Four Daughters), Saudi actor Yaqoub Alfarhan (Norah), and Egyptian star Lebleba (Leila Sakhina).

Each of this years Red Sea honorees exemplifies the pinnacle of global cinemaartists whose work has captivated audiences worldwide and enriched the cultural landscape of film, said Faisal Baltyuor, CEO of the Red Sea Film Foundation. We are thrilled to celebrate their remarkable achievements during our fifth festival edition and to inspire meaningful conversations for filmmakers, audiences, and the regions burgeoning film community.
