Report: Will Smith's Friend Alleges Wife Jada Threatened His Life in $3M Lawsuit

Bilaal Salaam, also known as Brother Bilaal and a close friend of Will Smith, has initiated a $3 million lawsuit against Jada Pinkett Smith, claiming that she physically threatened him in 2021. According to the legal complaint, the alleged incident took place in the lobby during a private birthday celebration for Will Smith.

The filing describes that Jada Pinkett Smith arrived at the event with approximately seven members of her entourage. Bilaal Salaam asserts that she confronted him directly and issued threats regarding the disclosure of her personal matters. The complaint quotes that Jada Pinkett Smith became verbally aggressive and warned that sharing her personal information could result in him going missing or getting shot.

Salaams lawsuit further alleges that he was pressured to sign a non-disclosure agreement under threat of unspecified consequences. He claims that the intimidation continued even after the encounter, with members of Jada Pinkett Smiths team reportedly following him to his vehicle.

According to the documents, the conflict escalated after Salaam declined a request from a mutual acquaintance to assist with crisis management following the well-publicized Oscars incident involving Will Smith and Chris Rock. The complaint states, Plaintiff refused to perform tasks he believed were illegal, unethical, or morally compromising, stating his conscience would not allow him to be involved in any cover-up or deceptive PR campaign.

Salaam further claims that after refusing to participate in these PR efforts, he continued to face threats from associates of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith. He also asserts that a retaliatory campaign was launched against him while he was working on a memoir described as a whistleblower account.
