Hawkins, Indiana, is ready to welcome fans for the ultimate holiday event. The much-anticipated conclusion of Stranger Things will make its theatrical debut on New Years Eve, with tickets available starting December 2.
The shows official X account confirmed that fans in the U.S. and Canada can reserve their seats for this exclusive screening beginning Tuesday. The streaming platform revealed in October that over 350 theaters across both countries will host the two-hour finale, titled The Rightside Up. This marks the first time a streaming service episode will be presented in cinemas, according to Variety.
Screenings will begin on December 31 at 5 p.m. PT to coincide with the global premiere on Netflix and will continue through January 1, 2026. Participating chains include Cinemark and Regal, which have made it easy for fans to locate nearby theaters hosting the event.
Show creators Matt and Ross Duffer expressed their excitement: Were thrilled that audiences can experience the final episode of Stranger Things on the big screen. Watching it with top-notch sound and visuals, surrounded by fellow fans, feels like the ultimate way to celebrate the end of this journey.
The first half of the final season, Volume 1, episodes 501-504, premiered on Netflix on November 26. The remaining episodes will roll out across two additional holiday release dates.
Season Five Synopsis
The fall of 1987 brings turmoil to Hawkins. The town reels from the Rifts opening, and the heroes unite to track and defeat Vecna, whose location and intentions remain a mystery. Meanwhile, the government enforces a military quarantine and intensifies its pursuit of Eleven, forcing her into hiding once more. As the anniversary of Wills disappearance nears, a familiar dread looms. The ultimate confrontation approaches, threatening a darkness more formidable than anything theyve faced. To overcome this final challenge, the full team must stand together one last time.
