PACs aligned with Trump focus on Indiana Republicans obstructing redistricting efforts

Trump-supporting super PACs have announced plans to challenge Indiana Republicans who resist the states redistricting initiatives, Turning Point Action revealed on Friday.

Andrew Kovet, spokesperson for Turning Point, stated that the organization will collaborate with like-minded PACs to allocate an "eight-figure budget" aimed at "primarying lawmakers who obstruct the president's agenda."

"Indiana serves as both a test case and a warning, depending on how things unfold," Kovet added. "This is a top priority, and we are coordinating with local grassroots efforts to ensure voters voices and priorities are not ignored by an out-of-touch political establishment."

Earlier this week, Indiana House Republicans unveiled a draft congressional map designed to strengthen GOP prospects across all nine districts. However, the plan has met opposition from some state Republicans, notably Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray, who remains against the proposal.

Turning Points campaign comes amid pressure from Speaker Mike Johnson, the White House, and other external groups urging Indiana Republicans to approve a new, GOP-advantageous map.
