Video Shows Hegseth Lied About Key Detail in Boat Bombing

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth justified the bombing of two men in the Caribbean by claiming they had radios capable of contacting their supposed cartels. However, footage reviewed by lawmakers contradicts this assertion.

There was no radio. The two men were simply holding onto debris, said Democratic Representative Jim Himes in an interview with MS NOW. There were no weapons, no radio nothing that could allow communication. The only signals were the visible fire and smoke, which could be seen from a distance. But no radio existed.

CNN further reported that Admiral Frank M. Bradley, identified by Hegseth as overseeing the strike, informed lawmakers that the mens boat was completely destroyed, leaving them no way to access a radio.

In fact, defense officials observed the men struggling to flip the remnants of their boat for nearly an hour before conducting a second bombing. This account directly contradicts previous statements made to The New York Times, fueling doubts about the legitimacy of the operation against the alleged drug traffickers.

The question remains whether Hegseth and the Defense Department will face consequences for their actions in the Caribbean Sea. At present, military strikes continue unabated.
