The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office (SJCSO) reported that around 6 p.m. local time, emergency calls indicated that roughly 14 individuals had been shot at a banquet hall on Lucile Avenue. Authorities confirmed the fatalities and described the investigation as "active and ongoing." Preliminary information suggests that the attack may have been targeted.

Multiple victims were transported to nearby hospitals. The victims ages range from children to adults, and their identities have not yet been publicly released.

Heather Brent, a spokesperson for the SJCSO, stated that the banquet hall was hosting a family gathering at the time of the shooting. She emphasized that the investigations primary goal is to identify the suspect. No motive has been disclosed yet.
