Prosecutors have decided to drop the murder charge against a teenage girl previously accused of killing 26-year-old Adam Khan in Luton on 31 August. Bedfordshire Police confirmed that the charge against her will not proceed.
Another teenager, a boy who was 16 at the time of the alleged incident and is now 17, remains charged with Mr. Khan's murder. He is scheduled to stand trial in February. The police initially found Mr. Khan in critical condition after attending an incident on Humberstone Road.
Both teenagers, now 17, had previously appeared at Luton Crown Court in September. They attended a preliminary hearing via video link from young offender institutions, and both were remanded in custody while awaiting trial.
The court has issued an order prohibiting the identification of either teenager in any media coverage related to the case.
