Krystal Ball, formerly a host on MSNBC, sharply criticized Latino Americans working for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), questioning their ethical judgment. During a recent appearance on the Ive Had It podcast with Jennifer Welch and Angie Pumps Sullivan, Ball expressed disbelief at minorities participating in ICEs deportation operations under former President Donald Trump.
Ball described the agents as wearing masks that hide their faces but revealed a brown skin tone, suggesting their surnames might be like Lopez or Hernandez. She asked, What is wrong with you? implying that such individuals lack both moral direction and self-preservation instincts.
The former co-host of MSNBCs The Cycle struggled to understand why minorities would join ICE, highlighting what she sees as a disconnect in conservative values. One of the core conservative traits is not caring about anything until it personally affects you, she said, criticizing the lack of empathy among those who enforce harsh immigration policies without considering their impact on others.
Ball, who now hosts the podcast Breaking Points, argued that non-white ICE agents end up serving a system that harbors animosity toward them and their communities. These people hate you. They hate your family. They hate your kids. They hate your future grandchildren, she stated. You are enforcing violence against your own community, and I just cant understand it.
