Debunked: Prisoner Escapes Through Courtroom Ceiling Video After Sentencing Not Real -- It's AI-Generated

Claims that a prisoner jumped through a drop ceiling to escape a courtroom after being sentenced to 30 years in prison are false. The videos circulating online were created using artificial intelligence tools.

The TikTok channel where these videos first appeared clearly labels them as "AI-generated media." Additionally, the footage contains glitches and impossible movements that confirm the scenes are fabricated.

The @Girtky TikTok account posted the videos, including one published on November 27, 2025. A total of 13 clips were shared, each with the caption: Follow me and watch more prison escape #prison #escape #sentence #judge #court.

These AI-generated clips have been widely spread across platforms like TikTok and X. While some reposts omit the AI label, the original videos always display it, making their inauthenticity clear.

Observing the videos closely reveals multiple signs of fabrication. For instance, a montage of eight frames demonstrates the physical impossibility of a man leaping straight up into a ceiling opening that did not exist beforehand. Even with extraordinary acrobatic ability, it would be impossible for someone to pull themselves through such a gap. Furthermore, reflections of ceiling lights on the glass barriers do not shift with the prisoner's movements, further highlighting the videos artificial nature.

The TikTok channel hosts at least 13 similar AI-generated clips, featuring minor differences in courtroom furniture and setup.
