HBO Max to Expand to the UK in March 2026

HBO Max will officially become accessible across the United Kingdom in late March 2026, offering viewers full access to its content library. By January 13, 2026, the streaming service will also be launched in Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Liechtenstein.

Currently, HBO Max is operational in 100 markets worldwide, featuring a combination of acclaimed series, blockbuster films, compelling documentaries, and live sports events. A recent announcement highlighted several upcoming HBO Originals, including German productions like 4 Blocks Zero, a prequel to the acclaimed crime series 4 Blocks, and Banksters, a heist drama inspired by true events.

Italian dramas are also on the slate, such as a series starring Maria Esposito that examines the murder case of Melania Rea, and Portobello, premiering on February 20, 2026, which follows TV host Enzo Tortoras battle to prove his innocence.

Sports fans will have access to live coverage of every event from the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, running from February 6 to 22, included in all subscription tiers, bringing the excitement of the Games directly to HBO Max audiences for the first time.

The platform will offer multiple subscription options, including Basic with Ads, Standard, Premium, and a Sports add-on.
