Prince William Acknowledges Challenges of Moving to His Family's New 'Forever Home' in Forest Lodge

Relocating to a new home is rarely simple, and it seems even royalty face similar hurdles. Prince William recently hinted at the difficulties his family has encountered while moving into their new residence, Forest Lodge, in Windsor Great Park.

During the start of the German State Visit on Wednesday, the Prince of Wales and Kate Middleton welcomed German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and First Lady Elke Bdenbender to the UK. It was during this meeting that William reportedly commented on the challenges of the transition.

According to a lip-reading expert who analyzed the interactions, Bdenbender remarked, Its wonderful to hear you have moved into a new home together. While Kate spoke about planning renovations and creating mood boards for their new space, Prince William took a more practical approach.

The house move has been rather challenging with elements of twists, but were tackling it, he reportedly told Germanys First Lady.

The timing of the relocation may have added to the complexities. Originally, Kensington Palace announced that the family would move in closer to Christmas, but they actually settled in during the fall half-term holiday, likely to ease the transition for their children returning to school.

Before Forest Lodge, the Wales family resided at Adelaide Cottage and also owns Anmer Hall on the Sandringham estate, as well as Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace.
