Putin declares Russia is prepared for conflict with Europe

Discussions between the United States and Russia regarding a possible ceasefire in Ukraine ended without any concrete outcomes after talks in Moscow. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the country is ready for confrontation with European nations.

The negotiations, which lasted five hours and included a US envoy sent by President Donald Trump along with his son-in-law, failed to produce an agreement. A Kremlin official confirmed the stalemate, aligning with analysts predictions that Russia would maintain its broad territorial objectives in Ukraine.

Before the talks, Putin indicated that Moscow was willing to confront European powers, whom he accused of favoring conflict. Shortly following the announcement, the European Union declared plans to phase out Russian gas imports over the next two years.
