Amazon Truck Stolen and Crashes Into Parked Cars in Mid-City as Suspect Escapes

Friday morning in a Mid-City neighborhood turned chaotic when a stolen Amazon delivery truck rammed into multiple parked cars, leaving a trail of destruction before the driver vanished without a trace.

The LAPD confirmed the incident, describing the scene as a quiet street transformed into a chaotic obstacle course. Residents on West 21st Street were startled awake by loud crashes, as the truck struck one vehicle after another in quick succession.

The truck initially hit a gray pickup before colliding with at least three more cars, leaving them severely damaged. Shattered glass covered the street, and vehicles were pushed out of their parking spots, resembling the aftermath of a demolition derby.

Police received an emergency call reporting the stolen truck, which had been taken earlier that morning. Investigators believe the suspect lost control several blocks away from where the theft occurred. Eyewitnesses described the driver fleeing swiftly into the nearby streets, disappearing before anyone could intervene.

One visitor from San Diego discovered her car badly damaged, while a local resident noted that the incident could have been far worse if people had been inside their vehicles on what is normally a busy street.

This is not the first recent incident involving an Amazon truck. Earlier in the week, authorities pursued two individuals who stole another delivery vehicle in Lakewood, resulting in a chaotic chase while packages remained inside.

Despite the wreckage making the street look like a junkyard, neighbors expressed relief that the event occurred early in the morning, avoiding injuries. Police continue to search for the truck thief, leaving Mid-City residents with yet another stressful situation to deal with.
