Video footage and request for witnesses following pedestrian fatality

An 83-year-old man has tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle in Shrewsbury.

The incident occurred on Whitchurch Road on 22 November at around 12:30 GMT, involving an Audi TT. Police are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage or information to come forward to aid their investigation.

West Mercia Police confirmed that a woman in her 50s has already been spoken to and is cooperating with officers.

PC Steve Wooton stated: "Our investigation is ongoing, and we are particularly keen to speak with the driver of a small white car or van that was traveling from Heathgates roundabout and turned right into First Avenue just seconds before the collision. Although they were not directly involved, they may possess crucial information or dashcam footage that could assist us."

He added that police also want to hear from any other witnesses who may have seen the collision or captured relevant footage in the moments leading up to it.
