Woman discovered with severe head injuries on the street

Authorities have launched an investigation after a woman was discovered with significant head injuries on a street in Keyworth.

According to Nottinghamshire Police, paramedics found the woman on Westerdale Drive at approximately 16:30 GMT on Wednesday. She was quickly transported to a hospital for treatment.

A police cordon was established in the area as officers carried out inquiries. Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.

Detective Inspector Kayne Rukas stated: "We are reviewing CCTV footage and conducting other investigations to determine the cause of these injuries. Residents may notice an increased police presence during this time, but we do not believe there is any wider threat to the public."
