Elderly man arrested in connection with woman's death

An elderly man in his 80s has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder following the passing of a woman in Bournemouth.

Dorset Police reported that the woman, aged in her 60s, was discovered at a property on Wentworth Avenue on Tuesday, shortly before 12:30 GMT. Her relatives have been notified of the tragic event.

The police confirmed that a cordon has been established around the scene, and local residents may notice a heightened law enforcement presence as the investigation into the cause of her death continues.

The detained individual, who was acquainted with the deceased, remains held in police custody pending further inquiries.
