Woman detained for suspected murder following man's passing

A woman has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder after a man in his 50s was found dead. Authorities were alerted by the ambulance service just before 20:00 GMT on Tuesday when the man sustained severe injuries on Lordscroft Lane in Haverhill.

The 61-year-old woman was apprehended at the location and transported to the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning. Police stated that the circumstances surrounding the man's death are unclear but are being treated as suspicious.

It is believed that the woman was acquainted with the victim, and law enforcement officials have confirmed they are not seeking any additional suspects in relation to the case. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to determine the cause of death.
