Authorities are warning residents to remain vigilant against a series of deceptive emails pretending to be from the States of Guernsey. Reports indicate that the Revenue Service continues to receive notifications about these scams, despite an initial warning issued on 25 November.
Officials noted that multiple individuals have reported receiving the fraudulent messages. Islanders are strongly advised not to open any attachments, click on embedded links, or respond to the suspicious emails.
Police emphasized: By examining the sender's email address, you will notice that it does not originate from official States of Guernsey accounts.
The States further advised: Be alert to this scam. If you have already interacted with it, immediately contact your bank's fraud department and file a report on the Action Fraud website.
