White Castle debuts its inaugural self-service kiosk at Boston airport

This month, White Castle introduced its inaugural self-service kiosk at Boston Logan International Airports Terminal A, offering travelers four varieties of ready-to-eat sliders. While White Castle sliders have previously been available in shared kiosks at universities and hospitals nationwide, this Crave & Go unit marks the brands first fully automated standalone offering.

The kiosk was developed in collaboration with Just Baked, a food kiosk company, and Evolvending, a dining solutions provider. Shoppers can select from the original slider, classic cheese slider, cheddar bacon cheese slider, or chicken and cheese slider.

We are excited to bring The Crave experience to Boston Logan, providing convenient and satisfying meals for travelers, said Sarah Paulson, White Castles director of retail marketing, innovation, and licensing. Our retail division has been delivering sliders outside of restaurants for nearly four decades, and now they are available in under two minutes for a hot and tasty snack on the go.

White Castle is among several brands exploring automated kiosks and vending solutions in unconventional locations. Recently, Chick-fil-A tested a temperature-controlled market fridge at the Childrens Hospital of Georgia in Augusta and at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Similarly, California Pizza Kitchen has been experimenting with automated vending machines, though details remain limited.

The company confirmed that this kiosk is the first of multiple Crave & Go locations planned for travel centers in the near future.
