Andrew Scott Joins The Comeback for Third and Final Season — Premiere Month Announced

HBO has confirmed that the third and final season of the comedy series The Comeback, created by Lisa Kudrow and Michael Patrick King, will premiere in March 2026. Alongside the announcement, the network released a first-look image from the upcoming season and revealed that Andrew Scott, known for his work on Fleabag, will join the cast, though his role remains a mystery.

The series follows Valerie Cherish, a B-list sitcom actress portrayed by Kudrow, who is determined to resurrect her career by participating in a reality show also titled The Comeback. Cameras track her every step as she attempts to navigate the challenges of modern Hollywood while often appearing disconnected from current entertainment trends.

Returning cast members for the final season include Dan Bucatinsky, Laura Silverman, Damian Young, Tim Bagley, Matt Cook, Jack O'Brien, and Ella Stiller. Additionally, Kudrow's son, Julian Stern, will make his television debut in the series.

The season also features an impressive lineup of recurring performers, such as Abbi Jacobson (Broad City), John Early (Search Party), Barry Shabaka Henley (Bob Hearts Abishola), Tony Macht (Dying for Sex), Brittany O'Grady (The White Lotus), and Zane Phillips (Legacies).

Fans of the show can mark their calendars for the final season's premiere in March 2026 and anticipate new developments as Valerie Cherish faces the ever-changing landscape of Hollywood fame.
