On Monday evening, Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton, stars of the Harry Potter series, shared a heartwarming reunion at the New York City premiere of Merrily We Roll Along, the live recording of the Stephen Sondheim musical that earned Radcliffe a Tony Award. Footage from the event captured the moment the former co-stars noticed each other. Felton placed a hand on Radcliffe's back, prompting an immediate hug, and they exchanged a few words before the audience was ushered into the theater. Afterwards, the duo posed together for photos.

This meeting mirrored their last public encounter in 2018, when Felton attended an event honoring Radcliffes Broadway work in The Lifespan of a Fact. Before that, they had not been photographed together since the 2011 premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Despite their on-screen rivalry, both actors have consistently spoken highly of each other.

Felton recently returned to the Harry Potter universe on Broadway, reprising his role as Draco Malfoy in The Cursed Child. During a November interview on Good Morning America, he credited Radcliffe with inspiring his move to theater. "I took a few cues from Potter. Seeing him on Broadway years ago encouraged me to explore theater," Felton shared, adding that Radcliffes success made him appreciate the magic of Broadway even more.

Radcliffe, in turn, expressed delight at Feltons Broadway debut. He remarked, "Toms always been the cool one growing up, so its amazing that he considers me an influence. Its wonderful to see him on Broadway and Im thrilled Ill get to see him perform."

Fans can soon catch both actors in Manhattan theater productions. Radcliffe will return to Broadway in Every Brilliant Thing, a one-person show opening at the Hudson Theatre on February 21, 2026, just a few blocks away from Feltons performances.
