Gwen Stefani Credits Husband Blake Shelton for Starting their Annual Tradition of Making a Timpano Pasta Dome for Christmas

Gwen Stefani appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, December 3, where she shared insights into her and husband Blake Shelton's unique holiday ritual. The couple has been preparing a timpano pasta dome each Christmas, a tradition that Shelton originally introduced.

Stefani, 56, described the dish as a carb-filled creation combining pizza and pasta and explained that its essentially a large pie inspired by a movie that Shelton discovered. Jimmy Fallon confirmed that the film is the 1996 classic Big Night.

It has changed a bit over the years, Stefani said. We started with a pasta shell, which is traditional, but then we thought, Why not use pizza dough on the outside? It just makes sense. She admitted she never expected the tradition to last this long. I thought Id check with the family if they were tired of it, but everyone insists we keep making it. Now its official, she added. During the interview, Fallon surprised Stefani with a freshly made timpano pasta dome on set.

Stefani also touched on her latest musical project, the holiday song Shake the Snow Globe, created for the film Oh. What. Fun., which premiered on Prime Video on December 3. They asked me to write a song specifically for the movie, which was a first for me, she shared. I was flattered and thought, maybe I could score a whole film someday.

Her father, Dennis, was particularly curious about her interactions with actress Michelle Pfeiffer. He kept asking if Michelle would be in the studio when I recorded, Stefani said with a laugh. The singer finally met Pfeiffer at the films New York City premiere on December 2 and described the experience as amazing, shes beautiful and so cool.
