Gwyneth Paltrow Gave Timothee Chalamet This Tip

Gwyneth Paltrow recently shared a skincare suggestion with Timothe Chalamet, which amusingly did not have the intended effect. The pair worked together on Marty Supreme, the debut solo film from Josh Safdie, who is otherwise well-known for his projects with Benny Safdie.

Paltrow's Makeup Mishap with Chalamet

During her latest appearance on The Run-Through with Vogue podcast, Paltrow recounted a funny moment from the Marty Supreme set. Beyond acting, Paltrow is known for her interest in wellness and often shares tips with others.

She described the incident, saying, In Marty Supreme, Timothes character had pockmarks, which were emphasized by contacts and glasses. Her well-meaning advice, however, overlooked the fact that Chalamet naturally has flawless skin. She continued, In real life, he has beautiful skin. I suggested micro-needling, and he replied, This is makeup. Thats when I realized my mistake.

Paltrow added, The makeup was so convincing that I thought he had minor acne scars. It was quite a surprise, but I still think it would be interesting to explore something like that someday.

About the Film and Roles

In the film, Paltrow portrays a wealthy socialite and aging actress who forms an unexpected bond with a young ping-pong prodigy, played by Chalamet. On her role, she shared, Im intrigued by stories about older women and how they perceive themselves as they age. I look forward to embracing more mature roles in the future.

Marty Supreme also features Odessa Azion, Kevin OLeary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher in supporting roles. The movie premiered at the 2025 New York Film Festival on October 6 and is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 25, 2025. Early reviews have been positive.
