Gwyneth Paltrow Accidentally Gives Timothée Chalamet Skincare Advice

During the filming of the highly anticipated movie Marty Supreme, Gwyneth Paltrow and Timothe Chalamet shared a humorous moment. Paltrow, known for her expertise in wellness, tried to offer Chalamet advice for what she thought were skin issues, only to discover it was elaborate makeup for his character.

While on set, Paltrow noticed Chalamet's complexion appeared unusual and assumed he might need help improving his skin. However, the appearance was entirely the work of professional makeup artists.

Speaking on The Run-Through with Vogue podcast, Paltrow recalled, In Marty Supreme, Timothe has pockmarks, and his eyes are altered with contacts and glasses. In reality, his skin is flawless. He mentioned something, and I suggested, You could try micro-needling. He replied, This is makeup. I thought, Oh, wow.

She added that the makeup was so convincing that she genuinely believed the scars were real. The detail was incredible. I thought he had tiny acne scars. It was very convincing, she said, also noting that the experience sparked her interest in exploring similar transformations in the future.

In Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie, Paltrow plays Kay Stone, a wealthy, aging movie star who unexpectedly bonds with Chalamets character, a young ping-pong prodigy. Inspired by his physical transformation for the role, Paltrow expressed her desire to pursue more roles that explore aging in women. Im really interested in how women perceive themselves as they age. I look forward to playing older characters, she said.

The movie is set to premiere in theaters on December 25, 2025. The ensemble cast also features Odessa Azion, Kevin OLeary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher.
