During a recent appearance at a high-profile award ceremony in New York City, Kate Hudson and Hugh Jackman amused fans with a lighthearted revelation. In a playful interview, Jackman mentioned that he and Hudson had been married for a long timebut he was joking about his on-screen romance with the actress.

The pair, who star together in the upcoming film Song Sung Blue, explained that working as on-screen partners made them feel like a married couple. Jackman commented in an interview with Page Six, We only filmed for 36 days, but it really does feel like we were married for a long time. Hudson chimed in with enthusiasm, Yeah, we were married a very long time!

Their humorous banter continued after the award show. According to reports, the duo joined a celebration at the Australian-themed bar Old Mates Pub, hosted by the creators network Syndicate11. There, they performed songs from their film, which features them as members of a Neil Diamond tribute band. The pair delighted fans by singing three of Diamonds hits: Forever in Blue Jeans, Crunchy Granola Suite, and Sweet Caroline.

Jackman introduced Hudson to the crowd, saying, Were gonna sing a few songs. Well, when I say we, we all are going to sing a few songs, but I have a very special guest here tonight. Please make her welcome: the one, the only Kate Hudson! Fans quickly joined in, creating an energetic and fun atmosphere.

Song Sung Blue is inspired by Greg Kohs 2008 documentary and follows the story of Mike Sardina (Jackman) and Claire Sardina (Hudson), a Milwaukee couple who start a Neil Diamond tribute band. The film is set to premiere in theaters on Christmas Day.
