Which Rom-Com Will Feature CM Punk?

CM Punk, known for his in-ring career and previous acting roles, has been gradually exploring television and film. His credits include appearances on series like Heels, Mayans M.C., and Syfys Revival, as well as films such as Lets Start a Cult and voicing a character in the upcoming Zootopia 2 alongside Roman Reigns.

According to a report from Deadline, the current World Heavyweight Champion will play a role in the adaptation of Katherine Centers 2022 novel The Bodyguard. The Netflix film stars Leighton Meester and Jared Padalecki, with Punk taking on the role of Doghouse, a loyal and humorous member of the security team known for his imposing presence.

The story follows an action movie star (Padalecki) who returns to his hometown under the protection of a bodyguard (Meester), leading to classic rom-com situations. Punks character, Doghouse, promises a blend of physical intimidation and comedic timingqualities the wrestler has demonstrated throughout his career, both in the ring and in his previous acting projects.
