Kate Middleton organizes her yearly Christmas carol event

On Friday, Kate, the Princess of Wales, welcomed her family to a beloved royal tradition: her yearly Christmas carol service. The ceremony took place at Westminster Abbey, with Prince William and their childrenPrince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louisjoining her for the festive occasion.

For the event, Kate wore a long green coat, while Princess Charlotte was dressed in a navy blue outfit that coordinated with her fathers and brothers blue suits.

The annual service, titled "Royal Carols: Together at Christmas," was first hosted by Kate over five years ago to honor volunteers across the United Kingdom and foster a sense of community during the holiday season. The event is held in early December and later broadcast on television in the U.K. on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

As the royal children have grownGeorge, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, 7they have increasingly participated alongside their parents. The service often includes other members of the royal family and Kates extended family.

This year, the celebration also featured appearances by notable figures from the entertainment world, such as actors Kate Winslet and Eugene Levy, adding to the festive atmosphere.

According to Kensington Palace, the 2025 service highlights "individuals from across the U.K. who have dedicated time to support others, led community initiatives, or offered assistance to those in need." While 1,600 guests attended at Westminster Abbey, thousands more joined via one of the 15 community carol services held throughout the U.K. as part of the "Together at Christmas" initiative.
