Kate Middleton's Parents and Brother Attend Christmas Service, while Sister Pippa Middleton is Missing

The Middleton family made a rare appearance at the Princess of Wales' annual "Together at Christmas" carol service, held at Westminster Abbey in London on December 5, 2025. Princess Kate, 43, hosted her fifth consecutive holiday event, welcoming several close family members.

Carole and Michael Middleton, Kate's parents, attended together, walking in behind their son James Middleton and his wife, Alize Thevenet. Notably absent was Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton, who has joined the service in previous years.

Since the carol service's launch in 2021, Carole and Michael have consistently supported the event, along with Kate's sister in earlier years. James and Alize have also attended in 2021 and 2024. In prior years, Pippas husband, James Matthews, has also participated, appearing in 2022 and 2023.

Princess Kate maintains a close relationship with her family, who generally keep a private life away from the royal spotlight. The Middleton familys previous significant attendance was at the 2024 "Together at Christmas" service, where Prince Louis left a note on the "Kindness Tree," expressing his affection for his grandparents.

Prince Louis, 7, the youngest of Kate and Prince Williams three children, has a close bond with Carole and Michael, who frequently spend time with their grandchildren, including hosting sleepovers. A palace insider emphasized that Kates parents are "an enduring factor in the upbringing" of Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis.
