Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis reunite for Kate Middleton's Christmas Service after 6-month absence

Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis reunited for their first joint public appearance since June, attending their mother Kate Middletons annual Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey in London. The siblings have been part of this festive event in previous years.

On Friday, Dec. 5, the royal trio accompanied Kate Middleton, who arrived early to welcome guests, performers, and volunteers. As the service began, Kate greeted Prince William and the children upon their arrival. The family coordinated their outfits, with shades of green and blue, and Georges tie matching his mothers forest green coat dress.

This occasion marked a rare public outing for George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, 7, representing their first appearance together since the Trooping the Colour in June. Earlier this year, George attended the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall for the first time, and both George and Charlotte were seen at Wimbledon in July. Charlotte also joined Prince William at the UEFA Womens EURO 2025 final between England and Spain.

All three children have previously attended Kates Christmas service. George and Charlotte first participated in 2022, while Louis joined the following year, making the event an annual tradition for the royal family.

The Princess of Wales inaugurated the Together at Christmas service in 2021 to honor individuals across the U.K. who contributed to their communities during the coronavirus pandemic. Since then, it has become a yearly celebration featuring holiday carols and community recognition.

Despite their royal status, Kate Middleton and Prince William strive to provide their children with as normal a childhood as possible, attending select family events each year. The children are also expected to join the family for the annual Christmas Day walk to church, often receiving small gifts such as stuffed animals and flowers from well-wishers along the way.
