Reselling Tickets for Stranger Things 5 Finale on eBay at Skyrocketing Prices

Fans eager to catch the Season 5 finale of Stranger Things on the big screen are encountering difficulties securing tickets. Some of these passes are appearing on resale sites with significantly inflated prices.

Netflix and the Duffer Brothers confirmed that the final episode of the season will be available both in select cinemas and online streaming. This announcement led many viewers to rush to book seats, while others have turned to reselling tickets on platforms like eBay.

Resale Listings Show Sharp Increases

Shortly after tickets for Episode 8, The Rightside Up, became available for theater screenings, listings appeared online. For example, two tickets for a Cinemark XD showing in The Woodlands, Texas, were sold for $150. This is a dramatic rise compared to the theaters $20 concession voucher, which many venues required to secure a reservation. By comparison, the resale price represents approximately a 275% increase over the original voucher cost.

Other resale prices differ depending on location. One eBay listing offered four seats at AMC 34th St. for $80, aligning more closely with standard pricing. Some fans note that certain theaters still have unsold seats and suggest that social media channels may provide safer options to find tickets at fair prices. Facebook groups and local forums are recommended to avoid paying inflated rates.

Fan Frustration Over Theater Sales

Confusion over ticket sales has added to fan frustration. Several theater chains issued concession vouchers that also served as seat reservations, causing some buyers to believe tickets went on sale earlier than officially announced. On Reddit, one user commented, Cinemark and Regal completely misled about when finale tickets go live. Another shared their experience: I finally secured an 8:15 showing after a lot of hassle The Regal app had tickets early Tuesday, I selected my seat, then it asked about a concession voucher. I didnt want it, but couldnt proceed without purchasing.
