Rick Hilton Fires Shotgun During Terrifying Confrontation with Robbers During Break-in, Wife Kathy Hilton Shares

Kathy Hilton has shared details about a terrifying break-in at her Beverly Hills home last month, during which her husband, Rick Hilton, used a shotgun to confront intruders.

On November 15, while Kathy Hilton was attending BravoCon in Las Vegas, the homes of both Kathy Hilton and fellow Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Sutton Stracke were targeted by burglars. The Los Angeles Police Department later confirmed the incidents, reporting that the suspects fled and burglary reports were filed for both residences.

In a December 3 interview with Extra, Kathy explained that the intruders had broken glass to enter the house while it was raining and their security guard was in the guest house. Rick Hilton, who was upstairs, quickly retrieved a shotgun.

Three people broke into our primary bedroom, Kathy recounted. Rick confronted them, telling them, You know what, get out of here. The police are on their way. When our security guard arrived, the burglars fled, and Rick fired the shotgun into the air from his office to ensure they left.

Following the incident, the Hiltons have strengthened their home security system. Kathy noted, Now, if anyone touches anything, the alarm goes off immediately.

Meanwhile, Sutton Stracke confirmed that burglars had entered through a kitchen window, stealing luxury handbags and fine jewelry while she was also attending BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas alongside castmates including Rachel Zoe, Bozoma Saint John, Dorit Kemsley, Erika Girardi, and Jennifer Tilly.

Both Kathy Hilton and Sutton Stracke have previously given tours of their homes on television. Kathys residence is known for its elegant foyer, expansive walk-in closet, and large pool, often hosting major events such as holiday and birthday parties. Stracke recently moved into a $5.35 million home, showcasing a grand living room with vaulted ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and modern marble finishes.
