Stranger Things Actor Mistaken for Harry Potter 3 Times Last Year

Noah Schnapp, known for his role in Stranger Things, recently shared that fans have repeatedly mistaken him for Daniel Radcliffe, the actor who played Harry Potter. Although he joked about some similarities between the two iconic stories, Schnapp revealed that the confusion happened at least three times last year.

While promoting the final season of Stranger Things, Schnapp appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and recounted moments when fans approached him thinking he was Harry Potter. He noted that these mix-ups mostly occur when he is alone. "When were all together, its kind of chaotic. But when Im by myself, Ive been getting Harry Potter a few times over the past years. Last year it happened three times, which is unusual for me," Schnapp said.

When asked if people really think he is Harry Potter, Schnapp explained, "Theyll come up and say, I love your show, and I respond, Thank you so much. I appreciate your support. Then theyll say, I adore Harry Potter and love that character." Usually, he gently corrects them by saying, "Oh, wrong franchise," while acknowledging that some similarities do exist. "Theres a little The Boy Who Lived and Zombie Boy connection," he added.

Over the course of the series, Schnapps character, Will Byers, has experienced a remarkable journey, culminating in the first part of the latest season. He also revealed that he had the opportunity to direct a scene featuring a young Will, with the Duffer Brothers fully supporting him in this new role.

The first volume of Stranger Things Season 5, consisting of four episodes, premiered on Netflix on November 26. The second volume, which includes three episodes, is set for a Christmas release, and the two-hour series finale will air on New Years Eve.
