The fifth edition of Saudi Arabias Red Sea Film Festival kicked off on Thursday with the premiere of Rowan Athales Giant. The film, produced by Sylvester Stallone, stars Amir El Masry as boxing icon Naseem Hamed, with Pierce Brosnan portraying his trainer. The festival attracted a dazzling lineup of Hollywood stars, including Dakota Johnson, Uma Thurman, and Ana de Armas.

Sean Baker led the jury, with Riz Ahmed, Naomie Harris, and Nadine Labaki among its members. Additional red carpet appearances included Olga Kurylenko, Queen Latifah, and Nina Dobrev.

At 92, Sir Michael Caine made a rare appearance to receive a lifetime achievement award presented by Vin Diesel. The highlight of the evening was Diesels tender moment as he guided Caine into the spotlight. Their reunion was a remarkable scene, with Diesel praising Caines enduring talent and humility.

Diesel said during the award presentation, Tonight is especially meaningful for me because I get to honor someone considered one of the greatest actors of all time. He can shine in any role, yet remains remarkably humble.

In response, Caine humorously remarked, Im here to receive an award, which isnt surprising. Ive already won two Oscars. Tonight is one of those rare happy surprises in show business.

Michael Caine joined an impressive roster of honorees, including Sigourney Weaver, Juliette Binoche, Rachid Bouchareb, and Stanley Tong. The Red Sea Film Festival runs in Jeddah from December 4 to 13, promising a week of glamour and cinematic celebration with some of Hollywoods biggest names.
