Will The Bear by Jeremy Allen White Conclude After Season 5?

Fans of The Bear starring Jeremy Allen White were caught off guard by news of another season. Season 4 seemed to conclude Carmys story, as he took a step back from the kitchen to explore life beyond the restaurant. Thats why the confirmation of a fifth season came as a surprise to many.

With Carmy returning for more high-stakes drama, the question arises: how many seasons remain? Sources suggest this might be the final chapter before the character retires from his culinary journey for good.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jeremy Allen White opened up about the shows future on Disney+. We thought season four would be the finale, he explained on the Award Chatter Podcast. Then Chris [Storer, creator and co-showrunner] called me on Christmas Eve last year saying, Were going to continue. Something like that could happen again this holiday season. Theres no confirmation it will end.

He added, Theres no current plan for additional seasons. It really depends on Chris vision. But personally, I feel incredibly fortunate to collaborate with such talented actors and to bring Chris stories to life, so Id happily continue as long as possible.

Outside of The Bear, Jeremy Allen White has several upcoming projects, though release dates are still unannounced. Notably, he is set to appear in The Mandalorian and Grogu, which will hit theaters on May 22, 2026, portraying the character Rotta the Hutt.
