Angry Trump Supporter Condemns Trump for Racist Comments: ‘My Children Deserve Respect!’

A supporter of Donald Trump, Mohamed Ahmed, publicly criticized the President following a series of racist comments targeting Somalia and Somali Americans, asserting passionately, My children are not trash!

Earlier this week, Trump made two controversial and racially charged statements, first during a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday and later in an Oval Office photo session on Wednesday. He referred to Somali immigrants as garbage and suggested they should return to their countries, claiming they do not contribute positively:

These arent people that work, these arent people who say Come on, lets go, lets make this place great. These are people who do nothing but complain. They complain. And from where they came from, they got nothing. You know, if they came from paradise and said this isnt paradise, [fine]. But when they come from hell and they complain and do nothing but b*tch, we dont want em in our country. Let em go back to where they came from and fix it.

On Friday, during CNN News Central, correspondent Whitney Wild reported an interview with Ahmed, a Minneapolis resident who said he and his neighbors had supported Trump but were deeply hurt by his comments:

WHITNEY WILD: How did it make you feel when you heard the president say that?
MOHAMED AHMED: I have five children. My children are not trash!

WHITNEY WILD: What would you tell the President if he were here?
MOHAMED AHMED: Mr. President, we campaigned for you. We placed our hope in you. Please distinguish between good, bad, and evil.

Meanwhile, Governor Tim Walls condemned the Trump administrations rhetoric, stating,

The President of the United States called Minnesotans garbage and a hellhole. These are doctors, teachers, entrepreneurs, children. The reason President Trump is using racial slurs is because he is failing on all fronts. Everything is collapsing around him.
