House Oversight Committee Releases Previously Unseen Photos of Jeffrey Epstein's Private Island

The House Oversight Committee has unveiled a collection of previously unseen photographs and video footage from Jeffrey Epstein's notorious private island. The release, part of ongoing investigations into the businessmans alleged crimes, includes ten images and a video walkthrough of Little St. James, showing both interior and exterior areas of the property.

The visuals capture multiple rooms in the main residence, including a medical-style office with a dental chair and unusual masks depicting male faces on the walls. A library-style room is also featured, showing wood-paneled walls, built-in furniture, and a chalkboard inscribed with words such as power, deception, truth, and time, alongside several redacted phrases. Four armchairs are arranged in a circle around a large black desk, emphasizing the room's eerie atmosphere.

Other interior shots highlight two bedrooms, one with vaulted ceilings, a four-poster bed, a desk, a Missoni-style rug, and a wicker chair. The primary bathroom includes a large bathtub, and another bedroom features blue-painted vaulted ceilings, a large bed, nightstands, and a desk. Additional images display a shower and steam room, stacked with beauty products, folded towels, and cushions, as well as a close-up of a landline phone with a speed dial list, partially redacted.

Outdoor areas are shown as well, featuring the swimming pool with a warrior statue holding a bow and a no trespassing sign by the shore. These images provide a stark depiction of the setting where multiple women have alleged they were abused.

Democratic Representative Robert Garcia, a senior member of the House Oversight Committee, stated that the release aims to encourage full transparency and push for the complete disclosure of all Epstein-related files. These files are expected to contain further details of Epstein's associations with influential figures and possible flight logs from his private jet.

The release coincided with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epsteins former associate, announcing plans to petition for her release from prison. Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence for her role in Epsteins crimes and claims that the governments release of the files could affect her chances of a fair retrial.

Jeffrey Epstein acquired Little St. James in 1998 for around $8 million and owned the adjacent Great St. James from 2016. In May 2023, billionaire Stephen Dickoff purchased both islands for $60 million, intending to develop a luxury resort in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
