Washington On Friday, a federal judge approved the Justice Department's motion to make public the grand jury transcripts from the federal probe in Florida concerning convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The Justice Department had renewed its push for transparency last month, following the enactment of a law signed by President Trump mandating the attorney general to release documents tied to the Epstein investigation.
U.S. District Judge Rodney Smith issued a concise order granting the Justice Department's request to unseal the materials.
This decision marks a significant step in providing public access to previously confidential details of the investigation.
