Ordered release of grand jury transcripts from abandoned Epstein investigation in Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. On Friday, a federal judge in Florida mandated the publication of grand jury transcripts connected to the federal sex trafficking investigations involving Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

U.S. District Judge Rodney Smith stated that a newly-enacted federal statute, which requires making records from these cases public, takes precedence over existing federal rules that normally keep grand jury proceedings confidential.
