Newsom trolls Trump by mocking his 'Walk of Fame' with photos of sleepy president

California Governor Gavin Newsom continues his social media jabs at President Donald Trump, now highlighting the presidents apparent difficulty staying awake during official duties. On Thursday, Newsom shared an image on X titled Presidential Walk of Fatigue, parodying the White Houses Presidential Walk of Fame. The collage featured three moments where Trump seemed to nod off while cameras were present.

Reports indicate Trump may have dozed during Tuesdays Cabinet meeting. When asked, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt insisted that the president was listening attentively and running the entire three-hour marathon Cabinet meeting.

Newsom has leaned into these moments, giving Trump the nickname Dozy Don. One post noted, Dozy Don is making a lot of appearances recently.em>

Images included in Newsoms posts showed Trump allegedly asleep at a ceremony marking his inclusion at the U.S. Institute of Peace. Previously, Trump supporters have discussed the 79-year-old presidents sleep habits. Vice President JD Vance told Fox News that Trump sleeps very little and expects his team to maintain the same pace when he is awake.

Similarly, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard described Trump as absolutely tireless, noting that he often works continuously during long flights. Journalists close to the White House have corroborated claims that Trump rarely sleeps on Air Force One, even waking staff to continue discussions during trips.

Despite these accounts of Trumps intense travel schedule, there are multiple instances where he has been photographed nodding off during public events or meetings.

Conservative commentators have attempted to frame Trumps napping in a positive light. Fox News Dr. Marc Siegel compared it to Thomas Edisons short naps, while columnist Debra Saunders argued that Trumps brief rest periods differ from those of President Joe Biden, highlighting a perceived inconsistency in criticism.
