Fatal collision between car and ambulance results in woman's death

Authorities are seeking information after an elderly woman lost her life in an accident involving a private ambulance and a car. The incident took place near the junction of B591 Copt Oak Road and Charley Road, close to Nanpantan, Leicestershire, just before 17:45 on 23 November.

The woman, who was a passenger in a grey Volkswagen Golf, was initially taken to the hospital and released. She was later readmitted on 27 November and passed away two days afterward.

No other significant injuries have been reported, and no arrests have been made in connection with the crash.

Detective Constable Emma Neeves stated, "We are eager to hear from anyone who was traveling along either road at the time, especially those who may have stopped at the scene following the collision. Motorists with dashcam footage are also encouraged to come forward as it could assist our inquiry."
